Habitat:
This fish likes to hang around bait fish and floating objects. It can
be found along current lines, deep reefs and canyons.
Bait:
Tuna, bonito, Dolphin fish and squid. Trolling with live bait or
specially designed lures
Fishing
Strategy:
Blue Marlins are very tough fighters with a fast and long first run.
They
usually mix
powerful jumps and directional changes with deep fighting
characteristics to try and lose the hook.
Tackle:
- Heavy tackle trolling
- 37kg - 50kg line (trolling with live bait)
- Sturdy boat rod
