Habitat:
This fish is a coastal species that is normally found in the surf zone.
They have been seen at depths of around 50 metres.
Distribution: Garrick
occur along the entire South African coast from Kosi Bay around the
Cape and up the west coast of Africa and in the Mediterranean.
Bait:
Live bait using mullet, Soft bait spinning, Rapala pinning.
Fishing Strategy: Garrick are game fish, and many anglers
live for the thrill of hooking up this magnificent species. They are a
challenge to land as they will fight till the bitter end.
