Habitat:
This species lives in dams that have some
sort of vegetation for cover.
Distribution:
Can be caught in river systems near Kwazulu Natal and down to the
Western Cape.
Bait:
Fish will take any bait that is offered, eg: worms, lure, frogs, small
fish etc.
Description:
Fins have pink outlines and breeding males will develop a blue line
across their head.
Fishing Strategy:
Fish near weeds and cover areas of the dam. Cast near floating items
and possible hiding places for fish.
